John Jr. possessed an innate ability to touch your heart, lift your spirits, and comfort you when down. He could make you laugh no matter how bad you were feeling. He genuinely loved people, and fought for those without the ability to defend themselves adequately. He saw value in all life, and each person.

Having suffered and fought many battles he had tremendous empathy for those who suffered and had a gentle loving way with people that was nothing short of remarkable. We learned of John's passing a week ago. For those left behind, there is a great deal of sadness and a tremendous feeling of loss. We lost someone special who made the world a better place and everyone he touched better for the experience. 

Many have offered to help and have reached out to us. We thank all of you for your love and support of the family at this time. We have a few expenses to bring him home him from Washington, to bring his daughter to the services and arrange for his final resting place. John touched a lot of lives and many people have expressed a desire to help the family with these things. We are grateful for all of the prayers and the love we have experienced in this last week.
