There are four words that you hope to never hear about yourself or your loved one. Four little words that can completely change your world: 'You have breast cancer.' On July 3rd, 2013, we heard those words together as a family. Fast forward to January 12th, 2016, when Kara was restaged with metastatic breast cancer and learned that she will fight this beast for the rest of her life as there is no cure.  This is not my story to tell, it belongs to Kara, but as her sister, I want to help her every step of this awful journey...and a part of doing that is sharing her story with our family and friends so that Kara can get her story out there, keep everyone in the loop, and educate others so that her story, our story, does not become someone else's.
