First things first. We received a letter saying we had til June 20th to pay 4k or the house would be auctioned off. After calling and explaining our situation they offered a payment plan but we now need 1700 by the 20th or it still goes to auction. Not an awesome feeling at all infact we broke down in tears at first without hope due to the struggles we've endured this year alone. and now to tell you the story...

I'd like to start out by saying this isn't just a house we are trying to save, rather its our home that we've built. It's also the last thing my girlfriend has left of her entire family basically. Due to an unfortunate accident her father was left in a home unable to care for himself at all and barely able to talk (man still loves singing his Johnny cash though), the state decided to take 3 houses he owned and place them towards his medical treatment. Then another unfortunate event occured when my girlfriend's grandmother passed leaving this home we didn't find out was still in her name til a little later on. Well we moved in and decided to work with the current occupants rather than kick them out into the world since they had been living here. Things were going great til my girlfriend started getting informed mail delivery to her email. she noticed mail for her granny had come a week prior and the room mates decided it wasn't important enough to give to my GF until she saw it in her email a week later. (we suspect other letters we sent and the roommates we kindly let stay kept them from us but with no proof only the assumption that a final notice proceeds previous notices) Well the letter ended up being our final and 30 day notice that the taxes on the house were going to cause it going into auction.

We are both in recovery basically starting our lives over, with 3 years clean. In August we took on my 8 yr old daughter full time. Normally wouldn't be a problem but we lived 30 minutes from her school and literally had no time to get her prepared for school since in happened the week before. Needless to say our savings we had was gone after we got her all the things she needed for a nice room and wardrobe. 2 months later our car was totaled while parked on the side of the road parked and off but with me in it. The money insurance gave us didn't even get us a new car to drive. instead we had to use my pain and suffering money for a down payment on the next car because the insurance refused to pay the interest on the car of 3600 so once again any money we had saved was wiped clean again. Then child support comes in. I cut down to half payments for 3 months and in order to stay out of jail I was told even after giving them 1400 dollars that in order to stay out of jail they wanted 800 by April 30th. Thus completely depleting us of any financial stability we had and now this, a letter saying they will take our home if we don't pay. We are financially defeated. We can only make so much by then that unless we ask for outside help it's as good as gone.

From the bottom of our hearts we beg you to find the ability to help us. Whether 1700 people give us a dollar or 1 gives us 1700 we just need that to get the auctions stopped. Then we need to find a way to rapidly pay off the remaining 2300.

Anyone who helps is awesome and anyone who wishes they could but financially they can't are awesome. we appreciate any help we can get. This is our last hurdle. After this adulting should get easier. I realize life is hard but if you can get a foot hold you can climb any mountain and we just need that foot hold everyone. please be that for us.
