Alex is a 17 year old Methuen High School student. He suffered a gunshot injury as a result of a robbery that took place during the afternoon on Sunday, June 2nd, outside of his home in Methuen.
He is currently at Brigham and Women's Hospital with life altering implications such as spinal, lung, esophagus and shoulder traumatic injuries, as well as, paralysis of his lower extremities. The plan is to have him transferred to a rehab facility in the Boston area once he is stable.
Alex has a long road to recovery and we want to help him get there! His mother Laurianne is a hardworking single parent who would greatly appreciate any financial assistance allowing her to give her son the best possible care and quality of life. She is going to need to purchase equipment and make extensive modifications to their home in order to provide accessibility for Alex. These funds will also help them start to pay for any costs not covered by their insurance such as deductibles and out of pocket maximums.
Anything you can contribute would go a long way and really help the Vermette's during this difficult time. No donation is too small!
Thank you for helping Alex with his recovery and please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
