My name is Abby Druck.  I am starting this campaign to raise money to replace my husband's MacBook Pro. It died a traumatic death by drowning after a  glass of water got knocked over onto it.

His laptop is his link to his passion.  He uses it to manage his rock band LAME (www.lameisallweknow.com), book their shows, archive their photos and videos, and most recently editing a movie documenting their experiences. Some of this data is truly irreplacable.
He uses it for graphic design work, both freelance and for Jamie Lynn Sutton Gilliam at The Sutton Studio for Performing Arts to subsidise our daughter's dance and voice lessons. 

Most importantly, he has been in and out of work since Christmas time and his resume, email, and job notifications are on it.  Without his computer he cannot apply for jobs.  Without the internet access it provides he cannot claim his uneployment checks that are helping us keep life running right now.

I know this isn't as life saving as some requests or as revolutionary as others, but this means the world to him.
