I am writing to you on behalf of Rated PG dance crew requesting your support of our recent acceptance to the national competition AmeriDance Internationals Championship in Orlando, Fl. , on March 16-18, 2017.
Rated PG was formed in 2012 as our youth company dancers (ages 10-18) at Safiyyah Dance Co. to inspire a community of students who are learning teamwork, social skills, leadership, and confidence through their involvement. Our goal is to help develop skills and values that encourage success throughout their entire life.
Rated PG has had the opportunity to perform for the Mayor’s Light up Louisville event; Worldfest; 100 Black Men Gala; Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, University of Louisville and more. They have also had the opportunity to give back to the community by performing and teaching at Smoketown Day, Emmanuel Baptist Church, and the Louisville Free Public Libraries.
Rated PG was selected and received a special Inbid invitation to compete in the national dance championship Internationals hosted by AmeriDance , one of the countries largest dance competitions. They were selected as a result of winning the Kentucky State Fair Dance Competititon this past summer. Rated PG will be one of only a few dance teams representing Kentucky in this national competition. This is an amazing opportunity!
Would you be willing to contribute to help us reach that goal?
Remember, every little bit helps. Regardless of whether you can contribute $5 or $500, we will be able to use these funds to grow as dancers and experience an opportunity of a lifetime.
Safiyyah Dance Company serves a broad segment of the Greater Louisville Area by focusing on the development of diverse programs along with an accepting and inclusive community.
