Hello! This is May! She is a 3 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and she needs help!
Sunday September 7 she started to throw up, and continued to so till Tuesday September 9. She did not eat anything that whole time. We took her to the vet, and ran blood work, and that came back perfect! She was given a dose of anti-nausea meds for the next couple days. She ate Tuesday night!
The rest of the week she was lethargic, tired and mostly slept. Thursday, September 11, she refused all food treats anything to put calories in her body. We then made a call to our veterinarian who got us an appointment for Friday morning, September 12. She was syringe fed as she wouldn’t eat alone.
Friday morning she was taken to our vet again, they ran x-rays and an ultrasound. The x-ray and ultrasound revealed a possible mass on her liver. They are unsure if it is cancerous, or something else. Between Tuesday and Friday she lost 3.9 pounds in that time. Vets said that she would need an ultrasound to confirm this and exploratory surgery. This total comes out to 4000.
We as her owners are going to continue to syringe feed, and keep her comfortable till we can make the next step for her.
We appreciate you reading our story, and hope you can help us save our best friends life!
