Dad is Sick!

For those who don't know, Happy Hides is a 501c3 reptile rescue and sanctuary for reptiles who have been abused, are aggressive, have special needs, and are unwanted. Mom and Dad (Jen and Greg) are the ones that care for us every day. We count on them to provide us with a safe, happy and healthy home. So many of you have given to help us over the years since we started Happy Hides in 2017. And your donations have provided food, enclosures, and paid vet bills, plus their medications. You may not know that Dad and Mom help supplement the difference in contributions to ensure we are all taken care of. Mom has made a YouTube video helping to explain what Dad has been dealing with regarding his health https://youtu.be/u_3IquEhOUk . But to give a brief explanation, his cancer has spread. He now has numerous masses, one being a large mass deteriorating his L2 (spine). It has caused the L2 to fracture and almost break completely. He continuously sees doctors trying to get surgery to treat the mass and fix the break. In the meantime, we need your help while Dad cannot work! Not only are Mom and Dad worrying about medical bills and their monthly bills to put a roof and pay our electricity (we need heat!). But, they are worried about ensuring we continue getting the care we deserve (and we are a top priority!). We aren't sure when Dad will be able to return to work. He is in extreme pain, can barely get around the house, and only leaves to visit his doctors. We hope that after his surgeries, he will feel close to "normal" and be able to work in months to come.
