Halvorson support fund

For those of you that know the magnanimous, punny, optimistic Jim Halvorson - dad, son, bapoo (grandpa), brother, husband, uncle (best ever), doctor, coach, friend - you know he would never ask for this for himself.

He has always been the one to remember the important things in life. Times around the card table, making puns, “God talks”, time spent gazing at a sunset on Craggy Pinnacle, Blue Ridge Parkway hikes, basketball and long talks with his sons, adoring and embracing his only daughter, listening to the waves rattle down the rocks at Palos Verdes, “Uncle Jim days” at the aquarium and tide-pooling with his nieces (‍♀️), backgammon with his wife, the smell of North Carolina woods, taking time to educate his patients on how to “floss their spine”, sitting under a cascading waterfall in Brevard, and photographing life’s magical moments in beautiful portraits. He is one who knows that life is about adoring the divinity found in his fellow humans and God’s glorious creation.

Money would never be a topic. Ever.

But I’m going to make it a topic.

Jim and his family are facing esophageal/stomach cancer, medical bills, and time away from work for an unknown amount of time.

He would also love to invest into alternative, holistic therapies that are not covered under insurance.

Please know that your prayers, texts of love, gratitude and encouragement, FaceTime calls, visits to his house, offers for groceries are ENOUGH. This is all he would ever ask for and more.
