Lymphoma bill fund
Donation protected
Many of you that find this page come from our small sim community. In December I was diagnosed with stage IV lymphoma cancer. One of the first things I wanted to do was save LSRTV "sim broadcasting" and make sure that the team involved could continue without me. I reached out and asked for a little help to save LSRTV, what we got in return was more than just a little help but a flood of personal support from around the community.
That support for LSRTV quickly rolled over to the community wanting to help personally also, that leads us to this page. So far this entire ordeal has been a whirlwind. At the time of diagnosis we had no insurance and that quickly became a priority. We managed to get insurance recently and that will be a major help going down the road. Everyone knows medical bills pile up rapidly and that is to be expected but thankfully the insurance will help offset this. The donations that people are so graciously sending in are going to be used to help offset the costs not covered by insurance, high deductibles and medications. I have applied for assistance through the hospital and have hopes this will be approved. If so this will further offset the overall costs of all the treatments. Right now my plans are to try and cover what payments we "must" pay for medical visits, scans, medications and well all the costs.
I have never been on this side of the fence and it is not easy to even sit here typing this but I also know that no one can fight something like this alone. Any donations that go above what we need will be given back to a local childrens hospital here in town. I also plan to put updates here on how things are going and about the treatment. As for my overall diagnosis it comes down to Stage IV that was initially from my lymphatic system but has no spread into both lungs and high percentage of my bones. The fight is just starting though and I have no plans to just lie down and give up!
