MJ's Medical Bills

CURRENT STATUS: Hey all, MJ was feeling sick last night, 7/12/2022. She was having a hard time and not feeling well. This morning, 7/13/2022, the doctor told us that MJ's condition has become severe to the point where she developed anemia. This means that MJ would need blood transfusions to keep going. This nullifies her status as a candidate for renal transplantation. We made the humane decision to stop MJ's suffering. We euthanized her this morning so that she can be at peace with our two boys. She fought to the very end until she couldn't anymore. Despite MJ's physical presence, we hope that her spirit can touch the hearts of all who loved her and give them the strength to move forward. For the time MJ was here, she lived a fulfilling and joyful life surrounded by her friends and family. All proceedings will go to the remainder of MJ's medical bills. The goal amount was changed to reflect all her expenses. Thank you all who donated and supported us during these times.

MEDICAL BILLS: Proof of all transactions and bills

Hi, this is Wiler and Viktoria. MJ is our two-year-old British Shorthair cat. When she was found in 2019, she was physically damaged from living on the streets and sought refuge. She has grown to be the sweetest, loving, and most docile cat one can have. Just recently, MJ has been feeling sick and was taken to a local veterinarian hospital. The medical staff ran tests on MJ and discovered that both of her kidneys are not working properly. One kidney is enlarged and contains kidney stones. The other kidney has little to no function and its size is significantly smaller than the other. Currently, MJ is being treated with IV fluids and pain/kidney medications. She has also been under examination and scans to determine the cause and specific diagnosis. The likelihood of MJ needing a kidney transplant is significantly high since both kidneys are damaged and the damage is irreparable. With the transplant, MJ's lifespan can increase up to six years rather than months if left untreated.

MJ is the centerpiece of our family. She has been a beacon that holds everyone together at the darkest times. Unfortunately, the past month has been just that. Our twin boys were born 24 weeks into pregnancy on June 6th, 2022. On June 8th, 2022, around 2 A.M, one of our boys, Viktor, passed away due to high levels of acid in him making his blood toxic. Our baby boy Kai was fighting the most he could until he was too tired to keep going. He joined his brother on June 14th, 2022 around 2 P.M. During these difficult times, MJ was the light we needed. She gave us a reason to wake up and to keep us going when we couldn't. We did everything we could for the twin boys and we want to give MJ the same opportunity. Sadly, we have been accumulating many bills and payments from last month to now. It has been very difficult for us emotionally and equally as difficult financially. We are seeking help and aid from all who can and care for MJ. She has touched the heart of many and left a lasting impact on each one of them. We are asking for a donation, even if it is just one dollar, to give MJ the best fighting chance to live a fulfilling life and continue being our light and for many others.
