Miah was a man it was easy to know well because he never hid himself from the world. He touched so many people in his life as a result of that and we will forever respect and remeber him fondly; he will be soreley missed by all of those who are lucky to have called him a friend.
In honor of Miah I've spoken to his family and inquired at Melgard Monument out of Riverfalls as to the cost associated with custom headstones. I propose that we all pitch in and commemorate our friend in a way that brings us all a little colser, in honor of the people person he was. I sugest we GoFund a Headstone in the shape of a guitar with some etching of his families choosing as a last hurah to the man we all knew so well and will miss dearly.
The gentleman I spoke with at Melgard Monument, Jermey, gave rough estimates as to the cost of a few services.
Gutiar Shaped Black Marble Mounument with professional etching: between $3,000 and $4000, all engraving also included
Gutiar Shaped Monument: +/- $2800 (cost varies by size and material)
Custom Engraving of a headstone that already exists with the shape of a guitar: +/- $450 (includes pick up of headstone and engraving)
A gutiar is just the first thing I thought of - others might have better ideas. All I know is that it'd be wonderful for us as a community to come together to pay homage to Miah and we will never regret having done so.
100% of all funds raised will go directly to Miah's family for the costs of Miah's commoration.
