Help a Mother of Three Walk Again

A Devastating Accident Has Changed Everything

My name is Danielle, and I’m a mother of three — ages 6, 9, and 11.

On August 16th, 2024, I suffered a life-altering accident. My youngest son is autistic and has never slept through the night. After months of exhaustion, I was completely delirious. I thought I was heading into the bathroom — instead, I ran through my basement door and missed every stair.
I fell straight down onto the concrete floor.

The Damage Is Severe

I shattered my heel bone (calcaneus), ruptured my Achilles tendon, and suffered extensive nerve, tissue, and muscle damage.
I’ve lost all feeling in my foot. I cannot walk, I cannot bear weight, and I cannot care for my children the way they need me to.

---

No Insurance. No Aid. No Options.

I’ve been denied Medicaid twice.
Disability won’t help me.
I have no insurance, no way to afford surgery follow-up, no physical therapy, and no path to healing without financial support.

---

My Mental Health Is Crumbling

This injury has completely devastated my emotional well-being.
I’m drowning in depression, anxiety, PTSD, and constant intrusive thoughts.
I feel broken. Hopeless. Some days, I don’t know how I’m going to get through.

I’m a Mom. I Just Want to Be There for My Kids.

I’m not asking for anything more than a chance to get my life back.
I need help getting the care I cannot afford — so I can walk again, heal, and be the mom my children need.

Please Help If You Can

If you can donate, please know how deeply grateful we are.
If you can’t, please share this and pray for my family.

Thank you for reading.
Thank you for caring.
The funds will be used to pay the down payment it would take to have the surgery scheduled. Also, any expenses accrued such as future imaging scans, nerve scans, self pay office visit costs, mobility devices, and maybe a dinner or two delivered from door dash since cooking for 5 on one foot can cause an extreme amount of pain, causing me to take multiple breaks to elevate my leg before continuing on. I personally don't realize that people fully grasp how devastating this is our lives and how much falls on my children, which I don't think is fair to them. With Nathan working long overnights, and coming home and catching up laundry and hauling out trash and, just all around picking up a lot of the slack, he's getting maybe 3 hours at most everyday before working overnight again and I constantly worry about his commute with lack of sleep, I worry about work accidents, and most of all, I'm concerned for his mental health as well. He acts like all is fine but nobody can carry this kind of burden, and not be affected in some way. Just an update on the use of the funds, and again... Thank you so much for reading. Shares are just as powerful as prayers with these fundraisers.
And disclaimer: I'm humiliated having to ask but I can't be stuck like this forever!
