Our Brother, Carlos “Bullet” Juarez, suffered a medical crisis, not Covid related, on April 5, 2021, which was four days after our father passed away.

He was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with pulmonary disease, cognitive heart failure, chronic respiratory failure; 2 days later, he was placed into an induced coma and intubated for life support. We were told he would have died within hours if we had not called 911.

It was touch and go for 2 ½ months. Finally, after eight weeks, he became stable, the ventilator was removed and replaced with a trach.

Bullet was transferred to a Sub-Acute Care facility, where he has been for the past six months.

Bullet’s trach was removed, and is now breathing on his own.

Bullet is a Living Miracle; our family was not given much hope for Bullets recovery. But they were wrong. Bullet is a fighter, and our family prayed daily for his recovery. God is Good and Blessed him with many Miracles throughout his 9-month journey.

His physical recovery has been a long and slow process. Although we are grateful to the Care Facility for the care he has received, it’s time to BRING BULLET home, where he will be surrounded and supported by family and friends. The Human Touch is a key component for his recovery.

We are raising funds to help pay for any additional therapy, nursing support, medical equipment and to make any home modifications that may be needed or required to ensure Bullets health and recovery is successful.
