Hey, I'm Dan Benoit,

This is one crazy medical crisis and I never thought it would happen to me. First, I fell ill with influenza A. My body went septic on me. I then had a seizure. Guess it was a good thing I did have a seizure because sepsis is deadly in a short amount of time. At the hospital, they gave me an MRI because a seizure is not normal for influenza. In the MRI, they found I had a mass in my brain. This led to a brain biopsy and they found I had astrocytoma grade two. This led to another major brain surgery to remove as much as they could.

I am now currently recovering and going through treatment as needed. Since been having seizures, I cannot drive for 6 more months Everytime I have one. I was a career parcel delivery driver. My doctor advised I not return to work with risk of seizures. This is an extremely rough time for my family.

I am enjoying this time I get to spend with my wife and daughter, I am regaining some cognitive ability. My wife is a trooper! ❤️ She has been super supportive.

I enjoyed skateboarding a lot and am a singer-songwriter. I am just an overall musician. Super into watching hockey LGNYR. My cognitive ability is returning and I am able to enjoy these things on a limited level.

I was trying to navigate social programs the best I could, but they are nowhere close to helping with instant or enough relief in the consistent bill department.

Fighting this thing the best I can do. So I can be here as long as possible, for my family, friends, and myself.
