Subject: Diego's Recovery: Thank You & What's Next

Hello everyone,

On March 17th 2025, Diego experienced a serious accident at Playa El Escambrón in Puerto Rico. After a successful weekend tournament, Diego jumped into the water and suffered a cervical fracture. Thanks to the quick actions of friends, he was rescued from drowning and transported to Centro Médico in Río Piedras. He is now back at his hometown of Orlando, Florida

We are writing this update with a heart full of gratitude for the incredible support you've shown Diego over the past six months. The funds you so generously donated covered his immediate medical needs, his flight home, and essential equipment. You gave us the foundation we needed to begin this long road to recovery. Thank you.

While the initial crisis has passed, Diego's fight for independence is just beginning. He is a quadriplegic now, and his rehabilitation is a full-time commitment. Our goal is to give him every chance to regain as much function as possible, but the cost of continued therapy is beyond what our family can manage alone.

We are also excited to share that we are applying for a pilot clinical trial at the University of Miami, which we believe could be a significant step forward for him. Maintaining his current rehabilitation regimen is a critical part of his preparation for this trial.

We are now humbly asking for your help to continue his journey. Every dollar will go directly toward his ongoing therapies, helping him get closer to his goal of living an independent life.
