Save Max's Life!

Hi my name is Max. I am a two year old Chocolate Lab and I love fetch, belly rubs, running in the yard and getting tons of attention. I was getting really sick and my parents weren’t sure where to turn. I loved my family very much, but they had to bring me to the shelter. I was vomiting, drooling and unable to walk right. I know they brought me here because it was their best option at saving my life.

Upon coming to this new place I was a little unsure at first, but I have grown to love it here! My new friends brought me to a doctor right away to see what was going on with me. The doctors took my blood and did an ultrasound on my belly. The doctor said I have a liver shunt (I don’t even know what that means!), but I do know I need to have surgery, it is pretty costly and I don’t even have a dollar to my name! My friends at the shelter said they will do whatever it takes to help me out, but if you could spare some pocket change to help me, I would really appreciate it!
