Family, Friends, and whoever has been touched by Nathan + Brianna’s story,
A few friends have come together to create a fundraiser to help Brianna in the months following Nathan’s passing. For those who know - and those who don’t - Nathan suddenly passed away in October 2022 in a climbing accident. He leaves behind his partner of 7.5 years, Brianna, and their cat, Sammy.
Being a young person living in Vancouver is difficult at the best of times, so we are asking anyone who is willing and able to help give Brianna a little bit of peace. With rising living costs, vet bills, and memorial costs, we want to support her time off from work. Many people have asked if there was somewhere to donate, so we have taken the initiative to put it in one place.
Nathan and Brianna met in 2015 and have been inseparable ever since. Their love grew fast and deeply while they got to experience life together. They weren’t afraid to live out their dreams, whether that be travelling Thailand, living in a bus, or spending every weekend up at the crag. Their love was palpable and effortless. In 2018, they moved into their first home without roommates where they adopted their cat, Sammy. They became a tiny family, whose doors were always open for those who needed it. As a couple, they were well-known in the climbing community and spent every free day in the bouldering gym or on the rocks in Squamish.
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we are making this post, however no one should have to worry about their basic needs during a time of such grief and mourning. If you would like to read more about how incredible of a man Nathan was, we have included links to the articles written about him.
