Hi everyone!
My name is Jack DiLorenzo, and I am the director of Race to the Top. Last semester, I documented the establishment of the Tulane Formula Racing Club and its gradual change into a genuine racing team. Now, it is time for the club to put its money where its mouth is, as we will follow them throughout their first race!
When I developed the film for my capstone, I always envisioned it as a two-part series. Now, with the support of my producing class and Green Wave Films, I can bring my vision to life. All we need is you!
As the director and producer, this project is not just the culmination of my work at Tulane. It is a constant reminder of what I can accomplish when I set my mind to something, especially when I find myself doubting my abilities. I credit this project and my capstone film to cultivating the leader within myself. This has been my first year managing large groups of people, and it has been an incredible learning experience. It has immensely improved my time management, delegation, compromise, and accountability. My incredible team and I are looking to not only replicate the success from last fall but surpass it. With more crews, more shoots, and increased team coverage, we do not want to show the audience who this club is. We want them to live it. In order to do that, we will need financial support.
Your generous donations will be split into four categories: paying for weekend passes for our crews, providing food and snacks throughout our busy three-day shoot, compensating editors who, over the summer, will elevate this project to the next level, and, lastly, funding entries to film festivals so the club and crew receive the recognition they deserve. Donors will be credited in the film, as the team effort of this project cannot be understated enough.
