Golf Buggy For Dave

Most of my Family and Friends know all about My eldest son David and the challenges he's faced so far in his 24yrs of life. I want this to be a feel good story as I know so many have stories far worse off than Davids. But I've realised that I shouldn't feel bad about asking for help when it comes to David . It's all about him and his happiness in what ever form it can come in , it's not about me and my pride feeling guilty that I ask when he is so loved and has some things that make him happy already. It's about him and me wanting to give him something fun and enjoyable long term that clearly isn't just a $20 Nintendo game that keeps him stuck in his room. I know people either can donate or not and there's never any pressure to on these go fund me pages. So for those who don't know David , I will give you a brief rundown . David has a disability which he has had since birth. He has Cerebral Palsy that affects his whole right side , autism and epilepsy. He's like the Hulk on his left side as he has had to learn to do all things with that side. He has little speech but is so super smart in that brain of his. He tries hard to get across his wants and needs and I've had to do a lot of guess work over the years and I'm sure he's been so frustrated a lot. He has a wicked sense of humor along with some crazy hard times with his autistic traits and meltdown moments. He takes medication for his epilepsy and luckily enough he has only had 3 big seizures in his 24yrs . David has learnt to adapt using his one main hand and it amazes me how he can play his Nintendo 64 one handed. Those controllers we use 2 hands for, I challenge you all to go play a game using only one hand. It's tricky . Lol . He learnt to ride a quad bike which was so awesome to see him so happy, he asks to ride all the time but unfortunately he's out grown it plus it's no longer in good working order at all, which is why I'm wanting to get him a golf buggy that I'm sure would give him the thrill he's after of driving himself ( well accompanied of course ) , the independence and to help with the boredom at home. He is so limited to what he can do at home and unlike any adult that can just jump up and go for a drive or whatever they want, he can't. David lost his Dad in August 2013 so has only me and his 2 brothers. A devastating time for us all ( as it is for anyone losing such an important person in their lives ) and one David would not have understood what it all meant. He had a dad one day and gone the next and for the next few months still asked about him and I assume wanted to see him . A very hard task to get through with a young man who loved his dad and didn't know why he was suddenly not around anywhere. His dad loved golf and only a few weeks before his sudden death we had talked about what could we get that would be awesome for David. We talked go-carts and quad bikes and golf buggys too. I'm confident that David will be able to get this little dream of owning a golf buggy one day and if anyone has a spare $1 to help then that's what this page is for. It's a do it for 'Daves Ability and not his disability cause ' :) ... even if he gets just a $1 then that's a step closer to getting one .Thanks and let's hope David can get out doing donuts sooner rather than later .. lol ..
