For those of you who don't know, I am the oldest and the only girl of three younger brothers. One of my brothers, Jeremiah, was born healthy and whole until he was nine months old. Spinal meningitis took away most of his hearing.I remember my dad saying that my brother felt lifeless in his hands. I'm thankful that he survived and is very strong today but he is left without the capability of hearing his kids laugh. My brother has been married almost 12 years married to his wonderful and beautiful wife Becky. They have two children Jaycee and Logan. And while most of you may think this, I also thought this for years until recently. I thought his health insurance covered his hearing aids. I was completely wrong. They cover 0% of his hearing aids. We've even researched possible grants & scholarships but there is NOTHING available for a hard working adult currently with medical insurance. Do you know hearing aids can cost well up to $10,000 and will only last a few years? My brother the last few years has had to choose between hearing his kids laugh and putting a new roof on his house. He's had to choose between hearing his kids laugh and taking care of his wife's new and unexpected medical needs. He is hardworking, honest, honoring husband and incredible father to his children. He should NOT have to choose between these things and hearing his kids laugh. He should not miss out on family gatherings because he can't hear any of he conversations going on around him. As his sister I refuse to make him continue to choose. Will you please pray and consider helping him purchase new hearing aids? He is asking for a Miracle Ear hearing aids. The cost is $6000 and includes a 3 year warranty, moldings, cleanings, batteries and a Bluetooth remote.
