Help Brody Beat Cancer

Donation protected
On Sunday, March 12th, a lump on Brody's neck started bleeding.

We left the animal hospital 6 hours later with a cancer diagnosis.

Brody is my therapy dog. I live with an anxiety and depression disorder, and for the last two years, Brody has been by my side and provided invaluable comfort. He has literally saved my life. He is my best friend, and this diagnosis has been devastating.

Over $2,000 has already gone toward his medical expenses. The surgery he needs to remove his tumor will bring that total to over $5,000. Luckily, although another tumor was found on his skin at his oncologist visit, there is no sign of the cancer internally. The surgery to remove these tumors can save his life!

Brody is only five years old, and has been through so much. He was fostered for over a year before I adopted him, and during that time 2 families adopted him, and each time, returned him within a matter of weeks. Brody belongs with me, and I cannot imagine my life without him.

Anything you can give helps.

For example, $12.50 covers the cost for one week of his dog walker's fee to administer a mid day dose of medication he needs.

While I work full time, I am also a full time grad student. 16 hour days are a weekly occurence, and I do not have any opportunity to take on extra shifts or get another job to help pay for his treatment. I have a medical expense credit card that allows me to pay the bill for his visits in installments (His $1415 oncologist visit will take me 18 monthly payments of $78 to pay off), but other than that, I simply do not have the means to cover his treatment without going into debt, which breaks my heart.

Many of you know firsthand what a bright and happy dog Brody is. You may follow him on Instagram brodyboy15 or maybe you've just seen the endless photos of him on my account.

However, in the short amount of time since his diagnosis, Brody has deteriorated rapidly. He has low appetite, low energy, and is in pain from his tumors.

For those interested, and those who haven't had a chance to meet him, there is a small reward and token of thanks I can offer to those who give.

For each donation over $30, the giver will receive a handwritten postcard from Brody and I, letting you know how thankful we are for your gift.
