Land For Elementary School in India

In 2023, we moved our families to India to do business as ministry. We are supported by our company and hope to use the profits to fund our various projects here.

One of these projects is an elementary school in a remote part of India. This effort is being spearheaded by a a church in Chennai that sends believers from southern India to remote parts of north India where there is no Kingdom witness.

There are a number of reasons to establish an elementary school as as base to reach unreached villages:

It brings a tangible blessing to the local community. Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves by caring for their material needs as well as their spiritual needs. When the community sees that we are concerned for their wellbeing and want to see their families flourish, they are much more likely to be receptive to the Good News of the Kingdom and support the workers in the case of opposition.

It provides accommodations for the cross cultural workers. Most of the staff are from south India, but an increasing number of workers are also being recruited from northeast India. The school provides employment and lodging for these Kingdom workers who have sacrificed so much to reach their new neighbors with the love of Christ.

It provides a base for local church planters to be trained and equipped. Local believers are identified and coached to be more effective church planters at these schools. Each of these schools not only provides excellent education for local children, but also becomes a hub for the Good News to spread throughout the surrounding villages. Regular church planting training courses are held at the schools to enter into and further God's work in the region.

This model is an Indian-led, time-proven method for reaching those who have never heard of Christ with the Good News of God's rescuing work on the Cross. There are 4 existing schools that have been catalysts to reach hundreds of villages. We want to enter into what God is already doing through this organization and contribute our resources to the work.

A partner church in Delhi recently held a conference where they raised around $30,000 for construction costs & other initiatives. The sending church in Chennai has also agreed to pitch in for construction once the land is purchased. The only remaining large expense is the land. If we reach our goal, we will be able to buy 1-2 acres of land and immediately begin the school construction!

All of the money raised in this fundraiser will go toward purchasing the land.
