Last resort

My motorbike has finally broken down with a necessary repair I can't pay for, to continue delivery work. I have been homeless since 27th November last year following eviction by a criminally vicious landlord and until the motorbike gave up the ghost I had survived via hostel bunks but now my money's out and I'm sleeping rough in a layby in a tent, freezing at nights and surrounded by rodents.

I've used an ebike to bridge the gap for the last 3 weeks but red tape has now also brought this to an end and I have injured myself riding this unsuitable vehicle. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and an imminent appointment for another neuropathy clinic. It's agony. My main job is 'musician' (officially since 1985 as recorded with Inland Revenue, now HMRC) and obviously if I don't rest the injury lifelong damage is likely.

I'm going bust via a DRO soon if my application is accepted but funds raised will not go to creditors re: the £13 K or so currently owed.

I need to be able to work again before I apply for the DRO, with budgeting info from BDL (Business Debt Line).

My UC award is zero due to paying for temporary accommodation, which is not supported and keeping the bike on the road while it's running, which is very expensive.

I don't qualify for sick pay because I have opted out of NI contributions since graduating in 1985, upon the advice of many state-sponsored organisations.

I've looked into local authority support re: housing but they won't entertain this, mainly because I sold up on 31st May 2019 and received £105 K, which is all gone now of course, and funded life on the road living out of hotels, not hostels, making new music and videos and employing female vocalists etc.

They want 5 years of addresses to process the forms. I supplied 100 to 150 hotel addresses covering every night in that time window. They could not be bothered dealing with my application because it was too much hard work for them.

This is a last resort. The state won't help. Bike repair shops will but want a hefty sum in return. Re: the motorbike, the gear shifter snapped off and fell to the floor 3 weeks ago.

This happened in 2023 too. That time the fee for just that repair was £450 but this time it's further complicated by two women who reversed into the bike while stationary (separately) and drove off both times.

This means that the gear shifter is no longer parallel to the left footplate, as it should be. The bike is also falling apart just generally and has broken down continually in recent months, resulting in my having to push it along the hard shoulder etc and this has also contributed to the sudden development of carpal tunnel syndrome.

I need to get the bike back on the road, fully insured again and a roof over my head to function like a normal human being once more.
