Support for Sarah
Sarah was recently diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. She underwent a debulking surgery to remove any visible signs of cancer. Due to the severity of the spread that meant a full hysterectomy + the removal of her spleen, gallbladder, a lymph node, the lining of her abdomen and part of her liver, bladder and colon. She's now undergoing chemotherapy infusions (5 complete!) and because of her BRCA-1 mutation, will be able to continue her treatment with a pill form of chemo for the foreseeable future.
Sarah has a very young daughter, and we are hopeful we can raise some money to help pay for her care, as this will be a long road for Sarah, as well we are hopeful some of the money raised will off-set the many costs not covered by insurance. Her partner James is continuing to work as much as possible, but, as one can imagine, he's had to take time off to care for both Sarah and their daughter.
We are grateful for your support as we know this is a challenging time for everyone. Positive thoughts and prayers included.
If you choose to donate, Go Fund Me automatically has a tip option pop up, and if you do not physically type in 0, you will be charged an additional 15% tip for Go Fund Me organizers (not the person organizing the fundraiser for Sarah- volunteers that work directly for Go Fund Me).
