I created this page with the hope that my closest family friend receives support during this very difficult time. Safaree's father who lives in Germany has been fighting an ongoing battle with Leukemia since 2010. Throughout the years, he has received highly expensive treatment in order to fight his condition and keep him alive. Given the expenses of traveling back and forth, Safaree has not seen her father in person since 2015.
On December 4th, Safaree received the most heart wrenching phone call; her father had suffered a stroke, losing all feeling in both arms. The CT's and MRI's following the incident revealed a cancerous brain tumor. There are no words to express the pain brought on by this news and worry of not knowing what day could be his last. My family and I have taken Safaree into our home as family of our own considering she has no other stable family member or support system in place. She is the strongest woman I know, with the biggest, loving, and most humble heart considering the hardships and adversities she has faced throughout her entire life. Safaree has been completely self-sufficient since the age of 15, often working two jobs at a time to stay financially afloat.
I am asking that you find it in your heart to please make a contribution/ small donation to provide financial support during this life changing crisis, including the financial stress of missed work, traveling expenses, and bills that still need to be paid on time. Safaree needs our help funding her URGENT travel to Germany considering the unreasonably high cost of travel during the holidays. Her father has his appointment with the brain surgeon next Tuesday morning in Dusseldorf. We are looking to get her a safe, quick flight out of LAX next week to help with her monthly overhead while being away.
She has absolutely no idea of the timeline to come; we are trying to be as positive and hopeful as possible! ANYTHING helps and it is my hope that with OUR contribution, she is able to have stress free travel and some financial relief while being away spending time with her father. HELP US GET SAFAREE TO HER DAD!
