I’ve been invited to represent the United States at the Florence Biennale, one of the world’s most prestigious art exhibitions. This isn't just a career milestone; it’s a historic opportunity to bring a unique and critical perspective to the global stage.
I am the only Black woman artist from the U.S. invited to this year’s Biennale. This moment is bigger than me—it’s about representation. It's about showing the world the beauty, resilience, and brilliance of the African Diaspora through my art. My paintings tell stories of joy, healing, and the Black experience, and now, they have a chance to be seen on a global platform.
To make this dream a reality, I need your help. As an independent artist, the costs of shipping my artwork, travel, and exhibition fees are a significant barrier. I am asking for your support to help me stand confidently in Florence, prepared to share my voice and vision.
Every donation, no matter how small, is a step closer to making this happen. If you can't donate, please share this campaign with your network.
Together, we can ensure that these stories are seen and heard on the world stage.
