Valerie Conter's funeral expenses
Donation protected
On Thursday, January 7, 2016 Valerie Conter passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends. The blue eyed blonde angel graced this Earth with her presence for over 86 years. She fought a courageous and gallant battle against cancer. Her positive passion for life touched many a person.
Married to her soul-mate, Louis Conter, together they traveled and spread joy. Their union was one of storybook tales expanding 4+ decades. Together, they traveled and spoke of World War II. Louis was a survivor of the USS Arizona during the Pearl Harbor attack of December 7, 1941. He went on to have a U.S. Navy career for 27 years retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. During his career he was a pilot for the PBY Black Cat Squadron out of South Pacific. Later he developed the S.E.R.E. program, still in use today.
As a couple they were an inspirational force to young and old alike. Their commitment to others, philanthropy and inspiration has left a lasting memory. In all their glory and service, one thing overlooked was the extreme cost of a funeral service. With the cost now exceeding $11,000 humbly, we their friends, are asking for financial contributions to help defer the costs. All funds given will go directly to the cost of the Memorial Service. In the event there are additional funds, those will be used to send Louis Conter to Hawaii for the 75 Commemorative Memorial Pearl Harbor Anniversary, which will be the final one.
Any contribution you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Much thanks and gratitude for your highly anticipated and generous support of helping our beloved hero lay his wife to rest. God Bless each and everyone one of you!
