Help Bo smoke meat fund

Hello, My name is Bo Hicks. I am co-owner and brewmaster at Druid City Brewing Co. in Tuscaloosa, AL. I've lived in Tuscaloosa since 1998 and have grown to love the atmosphere and sense of community in the Druid City. One of my goals for many years has been to help make Tuscaloosa a cooler place for locals and out-of-towners to enjoy. I've worked hard through the years with concerts, the Big Lebowski fest, Suds of the South beer festival, chili cookoffs and other exciting events. I have loved every second of it and hope that I have made a positive impact on our town.

On Sept 26th, some of the volunteers at the brewery and I entered the Brew and Que competition here in Tuscaloosa, what can I say, we were hooked. We had such a blast and it really brought us all closer together. Our two little smokers (shown below) were laughed at by other teams and we had big problems getting everything done with such little space. We still placed 11th out of 30 professional contestants with our pork butt.   We would love to continue competing as well as smoking meat here at the brewery for patrons to enjoy for free on Saturdays.

I turn 36 on Oct 25th and I cant think of anything that would make me happier than to be able to cook some delicious BBQ that makes hungry people happy. Thank you very much! Here's to a cold beer and some mouth-watering BBQ!
