John & Heather Eggleston Relief Fund
This is a fund to support my nephew John and his family, victims of the Camp Fire in Paradise, California.
On a morning that began as many others, John looked up to the mountain from his business in Chico at the approaching "smokehead" in the sky and headed back to his town of Paradise. His wife Heather had already turned back around to get to their two young sons, Little John 6, and Hudson 3, and ultimately she gathered a friend’s mother too. John reached his father and in 2 vehicles, by an amazing twist of fate, came up directly behind Heather in a frightening drive through flames and downed power lines to safety, together. All else is lost.
John and Heather rented their home, with no insurance. They lost everything! Both John’s father and Heather’s mother have lost their homes and all their belongings as well.
These critical funds will go to an account that will help this family, directly.
John and Heather are self-employed business owners in nearby Chico. Their company, Big Valley Divers, is a commercial diving business that has come to the aid of other disasters, recently salvaging boats during the devastating Carr Fire in Redding CA this past summer. After their enormous loss, both John and Heather were back to work the very next morning, committed to community, rebuilding and to paying it forward to any and all in need.
We are thankful that they are alive.
Their loss is felt even more deeply with this holiday season now upon us all. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL!
