In Memory of Maya Russ-Acosta

Hello, My name is Dominique Owens and I am Maya’s bonus mom. Maya has been a part of my life since she was 18 years old. Maya was involved in a tragic accident and passed away on 3/15/2024. Our lives and the lives of her loved ones has been changed forever. Maya was only 35 years old and she was raising her two children who are both under 5 years old. Maya loved being a mom and she was an excellent mother to her children. She always made it a point to make sure they had the best of everything. Due to this unfortunate tragedy we have to plan and have a funeral. The children have to also be taken care of in their mother’s absence. I am asking that if it is on your heart to donate, it would be greatly appreciated by the family during this difficult time. Death is never easy and my husband and I have never had to bury a child before, so this is really hard for everyone involved. Maya loved to sing, dance and bake. I will always remember here infectious laugh and smile. She enjoyed nature and spending quality time with her family and children. We still are in disbelief that she is no longer with us, but we know that she is now at peace and in a better place. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
