I am raising money for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian refugees in the near East.

UNRWA is the main relief agency operating in Gaza and The West Bank and it relies almost entirely on voluntary contributions from UN Member States.

17 of these member states have withdrawn funding - Australia is one of them.

I am disgusted by our government's actions and complete disregard for the lives of Palestinians. More than 10 000 children killed! This is a war on civilians!

Our government’s actions make us complicit to genocide!

If just 10% of Australia’s population donated $10 to this campaign, we would provide $25 million! Even 1% would be $250 000…

I have faith that there are at least 10% of this country that feel as I do and can afford $10 … I have set my first target at 1% and hope this goes viral!

Let’s stand together and show the Albanese government that we refuse to be a part of genocide!

In total, UNRWA has lost $440 million worth of aid. Without urgent support, UNRWA could be forced to shut down its operations by the end of February!!

Here are some facts about UNRWA:

1. More than 150 UNRWA workers have been killed in Gaza since Oct 7th. This is the largest number of UN personnel killed in any conflict in the history of the UN!

2. In excess of 145 of its facilities, have been damaged or destroyed by israel in Gaza

Neither of these two things has led to ally states of israel (notably US and Australia) to curtail their military, political, economic and diplomatic support for israel

3. It employs more than 13 000 people in Gaza alone

4. It is providing critical aid and humanitarian relief to more than 1.5 million people in Gaza
