SAVE CHEWIE

Hi Amanda Nagy, aka Mandy Morbid here, posting about my little emotional support dog Chewbacca or Chewie.

Chewie will be 10 years old in a couple months. He is my angel and has been with me through the worst times in my life, severe life threatening illness, an abusive relationship, moving back to my home country etc.

When Chew was 6 months old he was attacked by a pitbull. His jaw was broken so he has wire holding it together. On the side with the wire he has since never chewed. It's become very weak and fragile and the teeth rot and become infected from lack of use.

He's had some teeth pulled already a couple years ago but now there are 4 more infected teeth, sitting in pus in his gums that need to be extracted.

My vet realized he could not do the extraction himself without breaking Chewie's very fragile jaw at the same time. We obviously did not want to break Chewie's jaw again so he needs to see a specialist before the infected teeth turned into septic infection that threatens his life.

I was told by my vet that the specialist would cost about 4000 dollars.

If you need to verify any of this please call the Innes Road Animal Hospital in Orleans Ottawa Ontario. They know who Chewie is and his situation of course. I also told them I was probably going to have to do a fundraiser.
