Help for Giattini Family

Donation protected
Three years ago, while painting the house, Ted Giattini fell off a ladder and shattered his ankle. And so began a medical merry go round that seemingly won’t end. Ten surgeries later, life for Ted and his family is still not back to normal.
Plagued by persistent infections, chronic pain and an inability to resume normal activity, Ted recently underwent total ankle replacement surgery in Denver. Unfortunately, he contracted sepsis and pneumonia and currently has only 30% of his kidney function. His long term prognosis is unclear but more surgeries are on the horizon.
Throughout this ordeal his wife, Jolene, has worked full-time, cared for their two young children (one who is autistic and deaf) and managed her husband’s care. Although Ted is on Medicare disability, the family is dealing with the unexpected expenses of travel to and from Denver, childcare expenses and loss of one income. They have exhausted their savings and retirement accounts.
