Roberson Family

My name is Lachelle Basham, I am starting this go fund me for those who wish to support the Roberson family . Taylor Roberson is my cousin. On May 31st, 2022 she gave birth to baby Jacob. He was premature, weighing 3 lbs at birth. In addition to being so tiny, Jacob was born with a rare genetic disorder. Since birth Jacob has had a series of procedures and a multitude of issues, including g-tube placement, tracheostomy, he has remained on a ventilator for the entirety, kidney failure, severe lung disease and heart defects. Jacob’s parents have spent most days and weekends at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, as Jacob has never been able to come home. Today they found out news no parent ever wants to hear, he will be placed on palliative care. The amount of medical issues/conditions Jacob has are more than his little body is able to withstand. Jacob has fought for every breath since he was born, and his parents have been with him every free moment they have had. In addition to caring for Jacob they also have another child at home, Jacob’s big brother Elijah. Taylor and Tony have exhausted all sick, and vacation time from work due to constant tests, procedures, treatment team meetings, and everything else that having a critically Ill infant entails. Naturally they want to soak up every moment they can with Jacob, as they prepare for their baby boy to leave this world. I am asking for any support you are able to offer them, to alleviate some of the financial strain from taking off to grieve and inevitably pay for funeral costs. I know this family will appreciate anything given to them, from the bottom of their hearts. Please pray for peace and comfort as they navigate this journey of sending this sweet baby to Heaven.
