Final update: Steven is no longer with us. He passed in the hospital last night. Any donations will be towards his service. Read his story below:

update: it’s been months and Steven is still in the hospital, he is communicating very little and is partially paralyzed on the right side due to the cancer in his brain. He still has a long road of chemo and procedures ahead of him.

Hi I’m Stephanie. My cousin, Steven, is in the hospital fighting for his life due to meningitis, pneumonia, and most recently discovered cancer (lymphoma). Only 32, Steven is a talented chef and has worked in Hollywood. He has an 8 year old son who he can not even see since he’s been ill. The Short family needs prayers. Since becoming ill, his mother and him are struggling to pay the bills. His mother, who lives with him, lost her job for a few weeks due to being by Stevens side during all this, which made finances worse. They are facing eviction due to being months behind on rent.

The meningitis caused a brain bleed and resulted in him falling at home multiple times. He’s been in and out of different hospitals. Any donation is such a blessing to them.
