Hello, my name is Marvin Krueger, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my relative, Melva Powell, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) and was born and raised in Jamaica.

Melva’s family and friends back home in Jamaica have been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many have lost parts of their homes, crops, and belongings, and some areas are still struggling with limited access to clean water, electricity, and food.

I recently reconnected with my Jamaican family after many years, and through that, I’ve also gotten to know Melva. When she told me about the situation and the challenges her community is facing, I wanted to help her set up this GoFundMe so that more people could contribute and support directly.

All funds will go directly to Melva and her trusted relatives in St. Elizabeth Jamaica, who will use them to provide:

• Food and clean drinking water

• Clothing and hygiene items

• Basic home repairs and rebuilding materials

We will share updates and photos to keep everything transparent.
