Craigslist Scam Left Us Stranded

Donation protected
My name Suzanne Smith. My husband, Jeffery and our daughter Kaytlyn and I were recently the victims of a Craigslist Scam. We found a listing for a house that seems perfect, 3 bedrooms; close to my work and is the best schools zones in Tallahassee. We spent over a week talking with the "owner" and felt very comfortable with Ambrose Uhem. On Thursday, February 23, 2017 we sent him the final payment and the last of our money and took off across town. When we pulled up with all of our belongs and our 14 1/2 year old Beagle named Bailey, imagine our surprise to find someone living there! I had been by the house twice and had no idea. I want tell you how wonderful the people living in the house were to us. While all three of us sat there crying and nearly inconsolable, Kristen brought us water, allowed me to use their Wi-Fi and sat with us while we waited for the police to show up. When the real owner came, Lauren was just as amazing and so understanding. I still feel so, so foolish for falling for this scam. But thankfully, I have all the emails, text messages and the Craigslist Ad was still posted. The Tallahassee Police Department said that we will not get back our money but they have a very good trail to follow to hopefully put this person in jail and stop them from doing this to someone else. My husband, who is permanently disabled from a car accident, has had to pawn one of his guitars that he has had for over 10 years just so we could stay in a motel until we can figure out what to do. I send prayers all day that my sister has Kaytlyn safe with her. But I want my family together in a safe place. We are asking for is $5000.00. This money will be used to pay for a house to rent, to continue to stay at the motel until we find a place and get my husbands guitar back If you have read this far, thank you for that. I hope you can help us and understand if you cannot. I will asked that you spread the word of our story so that this does happen to someone you know and love. Some word of wisdom from the officers: 1. People who use scams such as this will always put words such as "God Fearing" and "Faithful" in any responses they send you. 2. They will use a third person such as an agent or in our case a "lawyer". 3. KEEP all emails, text messages and even the call log from your cell phone. 4. Keep the Ad ID at the bottom of the page if you use Craigslist.
