Homeless Vet/Dad needs car repairs

Im a homeless vet single dad and grandfather. I had 2 jobs working 70hrs a week things were good then my main job laid me off in April. My pt job was not enough to keep up with rent and I got evicted in August. I worked with VA to find a place but havent had any luck. Ive been living in car and now my car needs a lot of work I cant afford to pay for and now Ive begun to pile up tickets for overdue inspection. My car is out of commission now and total to get it done and legal as well is $950 {update now to 1400}.
I use car for everything. To see kids,job search,apartment hunting and to get to work and for work. Ill soon need deposit for apartment once I find one and If im not working I wont have funds for that either. I need any help anyone can offer I would be ever so greatful and appreciative that I can get back to work and move towards my goal of once again having a home to bring my kids and grandson to for overnites. Ive actually never had my grandson overnite as of yet and its something I cant wait to do plus my daughter would get a break. lol  Anyway I realize this is a tough time of year being Christmas and heating season and I dont normally seek help or handouts, Ive been hardworking and self sufficient for 46 years,but I have reached a point and a situation that I cant manage on my own so Im asking anyone who wont be hurting themselves if you can consider helping me! It would mean more to me and my kids then you could ever know.  Thank you from me and my clan.  Robert.
