Join Carson's Journey of Hope

Hi, my name is Stephen Fazio. I am inviting you to help my nephew Carson through a devastating health challenge. He is setting an example of hope—and we follow his lead.

Twenty-nine-year-old Carson is the devoted husband of Rachel and adoring father of Oliver, their 11 month-old son. He is the baby’s primary caregiver. They live in Houston, TX.

Currently: Carson has a mass of abnormal cells in his brain. Scans show that, over the past nine months, it has grown by 1.5 cm, and the large surrounding inflammation is 3-4 times larger. Brain surgery, scheduled for August 31, was cancelled by his surgeons. They determined that the risks outweighed the potential benefits.

That news was devastating! The silver lining—the blessing—is that he has learned of other treatment options. Carson has chosen a program with alternative modalities that will bring more normal functioning to his brain and body.

The goal of $20,000 will help to cover treatment for the next six months. Your contributions go directly to him for essential financial needs, including travel for treatment out of state and daycare for the baby.

Carson is a generous and kind person who hesitated to ask for your help. Please know that he appreciates every single dollar and every prayer. If you’re not able to contribute financially, you can still provide support by sharing this link with friends, family, and social networks. We are praying with confidence for his complete healing. Although financial donations are appreciated, we ask for prayers above all.

Ten Years Ago: This is not Carson’s first major challenge. At the age of 18, his strong will, medical care and much prayerful support brought a phenomenal recovery from stage lllB cancer. After 12 rounds of chemo, 2 stem cell transplants, radiation, surgeries and many other treatments within 14 months, he moved into remission status one year later. This mass in his brain has lingered for 10 years and has been causing issues for the last 8. He mentored other young adult patients through fitness and nutrition from 2016-2018, and he's maintained a healthy lifestyle all these years. His motivation for survival is even more powerful now that Rachel and Oliver are the center of his loving family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this chapter of his story—and for your kindness and generosity! We hope you have a blessed day.
