Hello Kind Souls,

Last Saturday, our mom suffered a stroke with intracranial bleeding that required intensive care in the ICU. During her hospitalization, doctors informed us that they suspect the stroke may have been caused by an autoimmune disease, based on her symptoms and their findings, though they are still working to determine the exact cause. She remains in the hospital as she continues to undergo treatment and rehabilitation.

Our mom is strong. She’s fighting with everything she has.

She’s a middle school teacher for children with special needs and truly the heart of our family - a devoted mom of four. Her eldest son, our brother Karl, is currently in the Philippines working to secure an emergency visa to be here with us in these difficult times. Anyone who knows our mom knows how selfless, caring, and full of light she is. Seeing her go through this has been heartbreaking, but we’re holding on to faith, hope, and to each other.

The past week has been incredibly difficult, both emotionally and financially- and with her indefinite hospital stay, the costs continue to grow. We’re reaching out with open hearts for any support you can give, no matter the amount.
