Mariana Gonzalez & Family

Our beloved Mariana Gonzalez passed on Monday, January 16th, 2023. Mariana was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and coworker. Mariana was only 42 years old and leaves behind her high-school sweetheart turned husband of 19 years, Ruben “her rock” and her two small children, Mateo (age 9) and Emma (age 7). Her children were her pride and joy, they were her world. Mariana could often be heard at Mateo’s soccer games proudly cheering him on from the sidelines, referring to him as “the future Chicharito”. Mariana would frequently share stories of Emma, her “morenita chula” and her sweet but sassy attitude and would say “who am I kidding she is just like me!”, followed by her wholesome laugh. May we find peace in knowing that Mariana is reunited with her and Ruben’s first daughter, Arianna- who she referred to as her guardian angel.

Mariana worked for Napa County Health & Human Services Agency for over 20 years and was devoted to the clients she served. Mariana had a passion for serving the community in which she grew up in and went above and beyond for the families she served. Mariana will be greatly missed by all that knew her, she had such a lively presence and the best laugh!

We are setting up this go fund me account for Ruben, Mateo, and Emma to help them navigate through this immense loss and to create more financial security for their children.
