2024 2025 Annual Sigma Chi Eta Phi Campaign
Donation protected
It is time for our annual campaign. As many of you have supported this for years, I wanted to give you an update on the campaign from last year. Our proceeds provided funding for tailgating for Homecoming and Alumni weekend. We awarded scholarships to undergraduates and provided Sigma Chi “swag” to donors. We have saved funds over several campaigns to build an outdoor fireplace on the patio at the chapter house. The project has been approved by the University. We have identified a contractor who will be building it. It is a very slow process to work with the University on this. My hope is that we can get the contract completed and work started so that it is completed by Homecoming. We will see. Your donations have made this possible.
This year as in the past, we will use funds for tailgating, scholarships, and swag for donors. For donors with a target donation of $125 or more I will get you the campaign item being made this year. I hope to use the balance of the proceeds to save towards constructing a 6 foot metal fence around the chapter house and to work with Jim Bradsher to purchase some additional items for the patio at the chapter house.
The fence is something that we will work with the University to see if we can negotiate with them to help with the cost. If they will not it would likely take 3 or 4 years to raise this money but I know that we can make this happen.
Homecoming this year is the weekend of 11/02. We are hoping to have alumni weekend the weekend of January 25, 2025 and looking at having a golf scramble with teams composed of alumni and undergrads. Details to be announced.
Funds will be held in an account controlled by Connor Couch. Thanks to him as always for assisting with this.
