Hi, my name is Sara Wood and I live in Mallorca, Spain. I'm a teacher of English as a Second Language and support teacher for students with special educational needs. I'm fundraising for a very dear friend and colleague in Gaza - also a teacher - to cover the costs of basic necessities, things we are all entitled to and which many of us take for granted.

I've worked with Ashraf for many years now, and we've met in person both in Harrogate and Gaza whilst working on educational projects. He needs to raise money to cover his family's basic living costs. I'm talking about things like food and clean water, far removed from luxury items. Right now prices of food and clean water in Gaza are off the scale and the family are struggling on all fronts. Will you help me to ensure he can provide his family with their daily needs?

Every cent, every penny you donate will come into my bank account and then be transferred to Ashraf's bank account in Gaza following his instructions. I will keep you updated on the progress of the fundraiser as well as keeping you updated on the struggles of a family who, like any other family, want to live in peace and safety, and meet their basic everyday needs.
