Build some help for BILL ANDERSON

A group of Baylor School families from Chattanooga , Tennessee wants to help their dear friend, Bill Anderson to know that Bill , husband to Lisa, father to Will & Alison, father to eldest daughter Danielle, Grandfather to grandson Cullen and son in law Tyler want to help as much as they can- during this devastating time. Bill, (our very own Chili-Naming tailgate connoisseur, among many other job titles we give him) , underwent major emergency heart surgery on Tuesday November 17. No one had planned on this. Life throws you a curveball sometimes--we just don't know the future and how we will react. Bill Anderson is one of those "2:00am in the morning kind of friends you can count on, " Bill would be doing the same thing for any one of us. He is that kind, that generous, and cares about others.
First, a little about Bill:

Bill has been getting up at 3am every morning for his job. He is contracted out to work for TVA in Tennessee, and chuckles when asked, "What do you do Bill?" He always says something to the effect, "If I told you what I really do, I'd have to kill you...it's top secret!!" Always a joke teller, and a hoot with an infectious smile, Bill wakes up, and drives over 50 miles to his job at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. A dedicated father who works very hard to support his family, Bill has missed out on many family routines, for years. Not one to complain though, he is one of the hardest workers we know, the bread winner of the family, the organizer, supporter, and cook- all the while going to every parent meeting or sport game for both his kids whenever possible. For Bill, it's about family and friends.
Bill always lights up speaking of his grandson Cullen- and daughter Danielle,( now expecting again). His eldest son Will, Senior at Baylor School and #24 Varsity Baylor Lacrosse, and Alison, Junior and Captain of the Baylor Varsity Cross-Country Team are two of the kindest and well mannered students. Bill's wife Lisa, who works for Baylor School, communicates constantly by cell phone on what their children did each school day, how they performed, and discussions about thier days. Like a lot of us, they work on a constant basis, but it's still ALL ABOUT THE KIDS.

Bill was having trouble breathing on Tuesday morning at 3am, November 17th, 2015, when he awoke and asked Lisa to get him to the hospital. Transferred to Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, they diagnosed him with a dissected aneurysm. What they didn't know while in surgery, is that they found a congenital deformity of Bill's aortic valve which only had 2 valves instead of 3. With the best physician they could hope for, and cardiac team, they replaced this with a mechanical valve to correct the deficit. They had to stop the bleeding from the dissection in the upper arch of the aorta and relieve pressure it was putting on the heart. This unplanned surgery to correct his valve took about 10 hours from start to finish. Bill's surgery was complete and his heart was beating on its own. We are so thankful for the superior care of Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
While we are all so very thankful for the glory of answered prayer, Bill has a long road to recovery ahead of him; and at this time, he is off medication to wake him, but he is not responding. All vital signs and scans are good, Doctors have now done all they can, and it is a waiting game for Bill to wake up, which he has not. Our Go Fund Me site will post updates as we go for hopeful responses.
First and foremost, we all wanted to reach out and ask that all of you pray for our Bill, and his family. We pray for a recovery, and for all of the Andersons as they navigate this trying time. Baylor families and friends are starting a volunteer food calendar, and a consistent meet-and-stay at the hospital to support the Andersons and keep them from feeling alone. This is a trying time, while going through the Holidays, and an unknown scary time...... and with that, we are starting a GO FUND ME page to help with supporting the Anderson family so they can focus, be with their father, husband, son-in-law, and others, and try to maintain every day life. Every day there will be unknown expenses while the family figures all issues out. ANY donations will be utilized only within the Anderson family for phone/medical/everyday needs/gas/food/or other. We have no idea what to ask for as we don't know what to expect. But, we do know the Andersons have incurred a devastation in thier life, one we cant imagine unless we have been there, and Bill is their primary source of income.
We are so thankful for this outlet. Thank you for any level you can give, and for your prayers. We are looking for the blessings in the midst of fear and the unknown.
"Be still and know that I am God."
Bill's birthday is December 6. Lets make this happen!
Thank you all so much ~ !!
