Our teams need your support to send them on the learning experience of a lifetime.
The VEX Robotics World Championship is an annual event that brings together teams from around the globe to celebrate their accomplishments and have the opportunity to be crowned champions. It is hosted in Dallas, Texas by the REC Foundation and incorporates multiple levels of experience that include elementary, middle school, high school, and even higher education. These engaging programs offer a direct response to workforce and industry needs, with participants more likely to consider studying science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) beyond high school. Sponsors of these events include NASA, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla, Northrop Grumman, the US Air Force, and many more.
The journey for each of these teams began in September of 2024. At the start of the new school year, they were faced with the early preparations of better understanding the challenges ahead and planning what steps they would take over the coming months.
With hard work and determination, as well as countless hours after school, these students and their teams continually worked to improve and master their design, programming, and skills, all while tracking their every decision in an engineering notebook for each robot.
Earlier in the year, CHS high school and middle school teams competed at a variety of regional events, nearly sweeping all the top awards, allowing them to earn placement at the State Championships recently held at Clarion University.
Their dominance continued at the State level, and the teams are now making their preparations to compete at the World Championship hosted in Dallas, TX in May of this year. We are looking for assistance from the community to help make this amazing opportunity happen for our children. We greatly appreciate all of your help!
