Sam is in the hospital for the 3rd time since November. He entered into the ER for the 1st time back in mid-November  with the hopes of finding relief from complete and utter exhaustion and left with the news that no one wants or should ever have to hear. CANCER!

As many of you know, Sam has been walking around with a whisper of a voice for over a year and being Sam avoided going to the doctors. This ER visit brought news that none of us wanted to hear and he went home that day. But, ended back at the hospital a couple of days later and was admitted into ICU where he stayed for around 2 weeks. After he was discharged, he went to see a ENT/Oncologist to work on a treatment plan. The doctor was very positive and thoughts are that the cancer is highly treatable with a combination of radiation and chemotherapy.

Sam is NOT covered by medical insurance and has been putting off treatment until the new year when insurance will kick in. It has become apparent that this cannot wait any longer! He is back in ICU at Florida Hospital Ormond and the mass on his throat has grown significantly and is constricting his airways causing great distress on his body.

We are reaching out to our family and friends in hopes to raise money to begin treatments immediately and to cover the cost of the medical bills that he has incurred since his first visit to the ER in November.
