Mike and his family need our help!
On January 8, 2016 The Rodriguez' family lives were changed forever. At the age of 44 Mike received the devastating diagnosis of a rare Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. There is only three known cases to date that have been published. It had also metastasized to his liver. Mike, his wife , Gaby and their children Julian(13) and Mia (10) would now start a whole new lifestyle to join their husband/dad for one of the biggest fight of their lives.
Mike began his first round of chemo treatment on February 17, 2016. Now, for the past 13 months Mike has gone through many trials, hospital stays, and chemotherapies all while maintaining his tenacity to fight this disease. Before his diagnosis, Mike worked full time, but since then has not been able to work. His wife , Gaby has been the sole provider and has had to take the financial burden upon herself. She has made sure her husband can receive all his treatments, go to several doctor appointments, hospital stays, get CT Scans, receive proper medications, and cover deductibles all while still maintaining their daily bills for their household.
Most recently, Mike has spent many weeks in and out of the hospital and has been given many IV Fluids and antibiotics to fight off infections. Doctor's concerns now are dealing with his high levels of bilirubin, which is causing jaundice. They are also keeping a close look on his lactic acid levels. On February 15, 2017, Mike's 46th birthday, he was admitted for a procedure to be done to help the obstruction in his bile ducts of the liver.
We want to help raise money to assist Mike, Gaby and their childrenwith the enormous medical bills they've incurred. Your donations will also help his wife, Gaby take some time off of work to be by his side giving him the continued support to fight.
Mike is a man of great faith, a wonderful father, husband, son, uncle, and friend. He loves his family dearly! Mike is a fighter and continues to use his faith, strength and courage to keep fighting. We know our #1 HEALER is GOD and we have faith that our prayers will be answered in Jesus' name.
