On Tuesday December 2nd at about 8pm we checked in on her for the evening via the cameras in her home ( we had cameras in her apartment due to her falling during covid and couldn't get a hold of her) thats when we saw that she had fallen face down and she was unresponsive. We called 911 and met them there where they confirmed that she had passed. She is now resting with Grandma, Grandma Dusty & Uncle Sonny.

Back in February of 2024 a lot you all know that Mom had been admitted to the hospital and intubated due multiple medical conditions. We thought for sure that we were losing her then. She came out of it and thought she was going to be on a ventilator for the rest of her life. From then until June 2024 she was in hospital, specialty care for vent patients and then rehab. Then once again in October of 2024 she was re-admitted again for the same medical reasons and was intubated. Quick trip to rehab and she was back home Thanksgiving of 2024.

For the last year she has been working on her health and adoring her time spent with her grandson Omari. She was doing really well and even was starting to get out of her apartment even if it was just an hour trip to Walmart.

Now this is the hard part, she is on disability and Medicade/medicare. She has no life insurance and lived in an independent community where we visited her multiple times a week. My sister and I will be the ones responsible for funeral costs, additional rent, bills, etc. however neither of us do not have an extra savings to assist this. We are trying to do everything we can to give our Mom a proper funeral. We know times are tough for everyone but any donation, no matter how small or large helps.
