Hello, my name is Brooklyn and I’m reaching out for Help & Support My Dad, little sisters and stepmum, as He Recovers from Q Fever

Over the past few weeks, my family’s world has been turned upside down. My dad has been extremely unwell after being diagnosed with Q Fever — a serious and often debilitating illness. What began as flu-like symptoms quickly worsened, leaving him very unwell and unable to work. He has since been hospitalised and is now facing a long and uncertain recovery, which may take 6–12 months.

Q Fever can have a significant impact on the body, causing ongoing fatigue, pain, and complications that make returning to physical work very difficult. Right now, his focus needs to be on rest and recovery.

This situation has placed enormous strain on him and on our family — emotionally, physically, and financially.

With his income suddenly gone, they are struggling to cover essential living expenses, including:

• Mortgage repayments

• Household bills

• Food and everyday necessities

• Medical and recovery-related costs

As his daughter, it’s incredibly hard to watch my dad and family carry this stress while trying to navigate such an uncertain time. They are doing everything they can, but right now they need support to help stay afloat.
